Foot paths from the door step, you can also visit numerous attactiion including Castleton caves and castle. Chateswoth House, Haddon Hall and the plague village of Eyam. If you have the energy left after walking the hill, the hope vally offers climbing cycling pony treking swimming angling and parascending. Or why not relax!

Milkmaids cottage is on a tradional Derbyshire hill farm, which nestle under the Lose Hill Ridge, with wonderful south facing views across the hope Valley. It is a walkers Paradise from the door you can take the footpath directly to Lose hill and enjoy another spectacular view over the Edale valley to the famous KInder Scout. Or why not just Relax. Riding House is a working Farm. If you bring your wellies you will be able to see the newborn lambs in Spring and even feed the hens!. There is an abundance of wild life around especially in our own bluebell wood.
